Applications For Summer Music Camp
The Salvation Army in Covington is now taking applications for its daytime Summer Music Camp, which runs July 30 through Aug. 3. There are 20 openings for children grades K-5.
The camp begins daily at 9 a.m. and concludes at 5 p.m. Cost for the week is $25.00. A mandatory final recital and graduation will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5.
Application may be made weekdays at the Salvation Army, 115 S. Lexington, Covington, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Summer Music Camp is designed to introduce children to a variety of music experiences, including ensemble singing and solfege, music theory and rhythm, brass instruments, keyboards and classical recorders.
Children who participate will be eligible to continue free weekly group music rehearsals at the Salvation Army during the school year.
The Summer Music Camp will also include daily Bible lessons, daily field trips to local parks, and lunch and snacks.
