Green Thumb Series Continues With Harvesting Water Program

The Alleghany Highlands Regional Library and the Alleghany Highlands Master Gardeners continue their month-long Green Thumb Series “Sustainability” with a program titled “Harvesting Water” on Tuesday, April 17.

Michael S. Hayslett, M.S, will provide information on the role of water and its conservation in nature and in the garden. Hayslett is a Master Naturalist and principal consultant for Virginia Vernal Pools, LLC. His presentation will focus on how people can conserve and harvest water at home.

The program will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the W.N. (John) Rice Community Room on the second floor of the library. Hayslett’s presentation is free of charge and open to the public.
