11/8/2017 1:22:00 PM Charge Dismissed Against Bath County Supervisor
WARM SPRINGS — A conflict-of-interest charge against Bath County Supervisor Eddy Hicklin has been dropped by the Bath County General District Court.
Hicklin, the Millboro District Supervisor, was accused of a conflict of interest by Williamsville Supervisor Stuart Hall.
The accusation centered on a land survey Hicklin conducted on county property in the Millboro Industrial Park. Hicklin owns and operates Hicklin Land Surveying LLC.
The charge was filed by Hall on July 31. Hall alleged that the offense occurred on Jan. 13, 2016. Hicklin was elected to the Bath County Board of Supervisors in November 2015 and took office on Jan. 1, 2016.
The charge was nolle prosequied by the court during a hearing on Nov. 1.
