Mountain Express Announces 'Fare Free' Fridays

The Mountain Express transportation system has announced that all trips will be provided for free on Friday, Oct. 27, Friday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Dec. 29, 2017.

These “fare free” days are in appreciation of all of Mountain Express customers.

If you’ve never ridden the Mountain Express before, or haven’t ridden in a long time, give it a try for free on one of these final Fridays of 2017.

Mountain Express is a deviated fixed-route system that runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday through Friday. The usual fare is $1 per trip. It is managed by RADAR of Roanoke, a non-profit organization that has organized and maintained both public and private human service transportation for more than 40 years.

The route schedule is posted on RADAR’s website – www.radartransit.org.

For more information, contact Nathan Sanford, director of Regional Transit, RADAR at (800) 964-5707 Ext. 125.
